AdSurface checks whether its own menu-bar placement can qualify. It does not capture the contents of your screen.

What the app checks

Placement geometry, visibility, session state, recent activity and uninterrupted elapsed time. Unknown or interrupted states stop the minute. These checks are not proof of human attention.

What the service records

Account identity and declared residence, paired device identifiers, approved campaigns, minute receipts, optional destination clicks and payment records. Payout details are provided in your account and used to arrange bank transfers after an operator’s review.

Referral attribution

When you follow a valid invitation link, AdSurface stores a signed first-party HttpOnly cookie for up to 14 days. It contains the referral code, environment and visit time and is used only to attribute your first signup to the last valid invitation. You can delete it in your browser before signup. After successful sign-in it is cleared; the association and commission records stay in the private accounting database. Referrers see aggregate counts and their commissions, not invited users’ identities or activity.

Website analytics

With your consent, the public pages use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to measure page visits and basic device and session information. Analytics is blocked until you accept. We do not send account details, financial data, URL query strings or access tokens. Private account, login and connection pages are excluded. Advertising personalization is disabled. Your choice is stored in your browser for 180 days; analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) last up to 180 days. Use Cookie preferences to withdraw consent and remove these cookies at any time. Campaign drafts and acquisition

When you prepare an ad on a promotion page, the draft is stored in this browser tab for up to seven days and can be cleared from the form. After sign-in we record the selected promotion category privately, together with the category of campaigns you create, to understand which entry paths lead to actual campaigns. Public preview and signup-entry analytics require your statistics consent; they do not include your draft, name or destination link.

OpenAI ad measurement

If you separately accept ad measurement in Cookie preferences, OpenAI measures public page views, download clicks and clicks to enter signup. These clicks do not prove installation or completed registration. The Pixel uses the first-party __oppref cookie to attribute actions to ads. We do not deliberately provide account, payment or contact details. Private pages are excluded and events opt out of future user-level personalization. You can refuse or withdraw this consent in Cookie preferences; your choice lasts 180 days. OpenAI privacy policy.

Payment tax details

To request a payment, you provide the beneficiary’s legal identity, tax residence, address, tax identifiers or a reason for their unavailability, and business details where applicable. These declarations are encrypted in our private database and accessible to you and authorized administrators for payment review and accounting. Each request retains its declaration for accounting history; the data are not sent to advertising or analytics services.

Market availability

The server counts eligible ad requests once per account and minute to estimate hourly availability, including requests without an available campaign. It keeps one latest-minute marker per account and aggregate hourly counts. No additional information is collected from your Mac or shared with advertisers.

Your controls

Pause or disable ads, disconnect the Mac and review your activity in your account. The app does not collect screen captures, file contents, browser history, app or window titles, or typed keys.
